Care for Cancer Kids Foundation (YKAKI)

Family Care Indonesia volunteers pay monthly visits to the Care for Cancer Kids Foundation (YKAKI) hospice to bring comfort and inspiration through personal interaction, fun activities and clown and puppet shows to the children undergoing cancer treatment, touching the lives of 50 families this past year. Special attention is also paid to the parents providing comfort as well as ongoing English classes.

In June we prepared framed photos we had taken at the hospice of some of the parents with their child as a special keep-sake for the families.  These photos are deeply treasured by the children and the parents.

Recently YKAKI received a special visit by Miss Indonesia2009, Kerenina Sunny Halim.  It was nice to have Nina join us again and the children enjoyed her warm and tender attention.
